Stock Solutions
Looking for a stock solution in a molded EPS shipper? EFP Corporation’s PharmaTuff® line of insulated shipping containers is your stock solution for high performance. We designed our PharmaTuff® insulated shippers to demanding standards. Our durability tests result in extended transit times that go beyond a 24-hour time frame.
The EFP quality control process measures key physical properties of PharmaTuff® insulated shippers, assuring you that your products arrive safely and securely at their destination.
PharmaTuff® Product Features:
- Tongue and Groove Seal: An example of design details machined into tools: A better performing shipper starts with a great seal. EFP engineers developed a tool design process that builds the right amount of compression into PharmaTuff's® tongue and groove seals. It makes them tight enough to hold temperature in, but still easy to open.
- High Bead Fusion: Standard testing tools: EFP’s commitment to quality and continuous improvement is evident in our cold chain shippers. The key to strength and temperature assurance is high bead fusion. We check fusion at machine set up and randomly throughout the molding process.
- Controlled Moisture: No wet Parts: Every high volume EPS user has a story to tell about how much water they pour out of molded EPS containers. The expanded polystyrene molding process uses steam for expansion and fusion. EFP’s molding presses have features to reduce the residual water that is left after the molding process.
- Small Parcel Ship and Compression Testing: PharmaTuff® is ISTA 3A tested to allow you to ship without any exterior corrugate or shrink film.
- Temperature Profile Tested: PharmaTuff® ISTA testing assures temperature performance for up to 72 hours. Engineering reports are available on request.
- Strap /Tape Guides Molded Into Parts: EFP molds in details that help packers locate tape or strapping for best results. These guides also help when shipping in a corrugated container; the EPS container “glides” into the exterior carton.
- Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP): EFP Corporation’s continuous improvement programs use GMP philosophy to gain manufacturing skill and develop uniform manufacturing process at all EFP facilities. We use the same types of presses at every plant and our tools are built to run at all our molding facilities. Process documentation is consistent. Our GMPs ensure you of consistent quality and workmanship in every PharmaTuff® and ThermalTuff® cold chain packaging system.
