Gel packs are the most common refrigerant used for temperature sensitive packaging systems. Available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, our gel packs are both versatile and economical. Gel materials can be frozen or refrigerated, depending upon your needs.
The basic phase change materials, Gel packs are used in pharmaceutical applications for traditional 2°-8°C applications. Yet, they also provide excellent freeze protection. In many validated packaging systems, the gel pack is the primary refrigerant, used along with specific temperature range phase change material to provide the ultimate in temperature control.
